Lisa is: an introverted lover of people; a white, queer, nonbinary, able-bodied person committed to using those identities to nurture liberation and equity in organizations and communities; a parent of vivacious twins who keep them on. their. toes; super geeky about one or two things at a time; practicing expressing themself through art; and a Los Angeles area native with a long chapter in Boston and now residing in Maine. Most of Lisa’s career exists at the intersection of people, strategy, and culture in the nonprofit sector. They held a variety of roles in the talent / people space with New Profit, a venture philanthropy firm, most recently leading the People Operations function during a period of significant organizational transformation, including a deepened commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. They hold a B.A. in Psychology from Bates College, and pursued a variety of trainings and mentorships over the years in topics like facilitation, leadership coaching, racial identity development, talent strategy, and change management.
